The Families in Transition Seminar is a court ordered educational program for parties involved in divorce, separate maintenance, paternity, change of custody, visitation, legitimation, and other domestic relations matters involving minor children. The four-hour seminar is conducted by trained counselors and therapists. The seminar is offered by the Family Division of Superior Court of Fulton County. Both parties involved in the action are REQUIRED to attend the seminar within thirty (30) days of the Court Order being served upon the Respondent/Defendant. Parties must attend the entire seminar to obtain credit.

The cost of the seminar is a NON-REFUNDABLE fee of $30.00 per person, payable by money order, cashier's check or cash.
Credit and Debit cards are also accepted through PayPal with a $2.00 Admin Fee.
**You MUST pre-register at least 3 business days prior for weekday seminars and for PayPal method of payment.
NO PERSONAL/BUSINESS CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED. PLEASE DO NOT MAIL CASH.IMPORTANT: Payment must be received at least three (3) business days in advance of the seminar.
SATURDAY MORNING SEMINAR

This seminar is held once per month at the Carnes Justice Center Building on the Ground Floor. All walk-ins, please arrive promptly at 8:00 am to register for the seminar. All pre-registrants, please arrive at least thirty (30) minutes early to check in (8:30 am). This is the ONLY FIT seminar where walk-in registration and payment are accepted. Pre-payment and pre-registration are welcomed and encouraged.
LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED! CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 8 MAY NOT ATTEND. IF YOUR CHILD, AGE 8 - 17, IS ATTENDING THE A.C.T. SEMINAR, BOTH YOU AND YOUR CHILD MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 8 MAY NOT ATTEND.
WEEKDAY EVENING SEMINAR

This seminar is held once per month in Building B at the Benson Complex. Please arrive at least fifteen (15) minutes early to check in. Pre-registration and pre-payment must be received no later than 3 business days before the seminar by Fulton county Superior Court Family Division, Families in Transition, 136 Pryor Street, S.W., Suite C-826, Atlanta, GA 30303.
NO REGISTRATION OR PAYMENT IS ACCEPTED ON SITE. NO WALK-INS OR LATE ARRIVALS ADMITTED. PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHILDREN.
SPANISH WEEKDAY MORNING SEMINAR
DOWNTOWN LEWIS R. SLATON (FULTON COUNTY) COURTHOUSE (FCC)

This seminar is held once per month at the Lewis R. Slaton Courthouse in Courtroom 8H. Please arrive at least fifteen (15) minutes early to check in. Pre-registration and pre-payment are encouraged but payment can be made at the time of the seminar.
NO LATE ARRIVALS ADMITTED. PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHILDREN.
An Online version of the Families in Transition seminar is now available. In lieu of attending the class in person, parties can now take advantage of the online seminar. The seminar will take 3-4 hours to complete and can be started at any time of day or night. The cost is $50.00 per person and payment is made directly to Families First. Please note there are no fee waivers available for the online version. To register and attend online, please visit: http://learning.familiesfirst.org/. Upon successful completion of the seminar, a certificate will be issued to the participant. Please make sure that certificate is emailed to the Family Division at fit@fultoncountyga.gov so that it can be filed into your case for proof of attendance.
IMPORTANT: All parties participating in the online version are required to take an exit exam. Parties will have two attempts to pass the exam with a grade of 80% or greater. Failure to pass on the second try will require that the party retake the seminar and pay the fee again.
NOTE: If you are involved in a case assigned to the Superior Court of Fulton County Family Division and you attend a seminar outside of Fulton County, please be sure to file the original certificate of your attendance at the seminar with the Clerk of the Superior Court of Fulton County.
