Local Order Issued Declaring a Judicial Emergency in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit

Superior Court Chief Judge Christopher S. Brasher issued a Local Order declaring the existence of a Judicial Emergency in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit. The Local Order takes effect at 12:00 a.m. on Monday, August 30th, 2021 and expires at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

Public health measures put in place by this Court in its Guidelines for Expanding In-Person Proceedings, which were adopted as an Order of this Court on June 12, 2020, remain in place during the term of this Order. Parties or attorneys should contact the chambers of the judge assigned to their case with questions or for assistance with compliance with these guidelines. The health of litigants, lawyers, court personnel, judges, jurors and the public, remain the utmost priority.
