Kelly Amanda Lee serves as a Judge of the Superior Court of Fulton County.

Judge Lee began service as a Fulton County Superior Court Judge January 1, 2011.  Finishing first out of five candidates in the November 2, 2010 general election, Judge Lee advanced to the November 30, 2010 run-off during which she won her judgeship handily by securing over 62% of all votes cast.  Her oath of office was administered by Governor Sonny Perdue December 28, 2010.

Prior to winning the 2010 judicial election, Judge Lee practiced civil litigation in Atlanta for over 17 years.  Most recently, she owned her own law practice (2009-2010) where she specialized in business disputes, coverage matters and general corporate representation.  For the majority of her legal career, Judge Lee was an associate and then partner in the Business Litigation Group of the national law firm, Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice PLLC (2000-2009).  Previously, she practiced with the Atlanta law firms Mozley, Finlayson & Loggins LLP (1996-2000) and Crim & Bassler (1993-1996).

Judge Lee has significant lead counsel jury trial experience having tried dozens of civil law suits to verdict in the Georgia state and superior courts.  She served as an active member of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers Judicial Appointment Review Committee, the Atlanta Bar Association Litigation Section and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.  As a member of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, for several years Judge Lee served as a professor at the annual Trial Academy for younger lawyers in Callaway Gardens.

For more than five years, Judge Lee has volunteered with the Everybody Wins! Reading Program through which she reads to a Hope-Hill Elementary School student each week.  As a member of Morningside Presbyterian Church, Judge Lee served on the church’s Long Range Steering/Vision Committee, Stewardship Committee, Grounds Committee and Usher Team.

Atlanta Magazine repetitively named Judge Lee as a “Super Lawyer” (2009, 2010, 2011)  and “Rising Star” in the legal profession (2005, 2006).

Having received her BBA in MIS from the University of Georgia (UGA) Terry College of Business (1990) and her Juris Doctorate degree from the UGA School of Law (1993), Judge Lee is a staunch supporter of the UGA bulldogs football team and an active, though amateur, sports participant and spectator.

Judge Lee is a life-long Georgian, growing up in Hinesville, Georgia.  Her parents and two siblings live in southeast Georgia.
