Senior Judge Philip F. Etheridge is a third generation Atlantan and comes from a family of lawyers and judges.  He attended The University of Notre Dame and the University of Georgia as an undergraduate, and obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. In 1978 he was elected as a Judge of The State Court of Fulton County.

He served as an active Judge for 26 years in State and Superior Court.  On January 1, 2005, he took Senior Judge status and now conducts Settlement Conferences for other Judges and also holds private Settlement Conferences when requested.
