NOTICE!! The amount charged for filing fees has recently changed. The new fee schedule may be viewed on the Clerk of Superior Court’s website at: http://www.fcclk.org/cfees.htm. Family Division is in the process of updating the forms on its website in light of these fee changes.
These are sample forms and documents used in Family Division.
Georgia law provides exemptions and deferrals for certain individuals. If you fall within one of the following groups, you can find the appropriate affidavit below.
Exemptions
Those persons who may claim an exemption from jury service are:
* Persons who are 70 years of age or older
* Persons who are permanently mentally or physically disabled
Deferrals
Those persons eligible for deferral from jury service are:
* Persons who are full-time students
* Persons who are stay-at-home sole caregivers of a child six years of age or younger
* Persons who are home study program teachers
If you do not fall with one of the listed groups, but would like to request a deferral, call the Jury Services Division at 404-612-4600 after 10:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday.
